Celebrity Trainers Join As a Community Rallies to Fight Childhood Obesity

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2010 -- An army of green-clad families and youth slathered in sun block, wearing Accusplit pedometers will gather on August 14, 2010 for the 3rd Annual Tour de Fitness (TDF). Hosted by Nickelodeon’s Victorious starlet, Daniella Monet, O2 MAX will be partnering again with KooDooz. Celebrity trainers, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and health-conscious companies will band together for an interactive Santa Monica fitness march that serves to educate participants on the actions they can take to be healthy and fit.
According to Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign, nearly one in three children in the United States is overweight today and one third of the children born since 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetimes.  Drake Bell gets up on his tiptoes to read a text on his phone as he continues to film for A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! in Vancouver on Wednesday afternoon (July 28).
Joined by costar Daniella Monet, the duo are bringing the favorite animated series to live action.
Timmy (Bell) is still in the fifth grade and living at home. Now it’s all changing when he begins to have feelings for Tootie (Monet), a nerdy girl who has grown into a beautiful woman and returned to town.
Now Timmy must make a choice between his godparents or growing up and being in love.

Daniella Monet & Drake Bell: The Fairly Oddparents Movie!

 The Fairly Oddparents Movie is coming– and it’s called A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!
Thanks to TVGuide, we now know just a bit more about the made-for-TV movie which stars Drake Bell and Daniella Monet.
The animated series focused on 10-year-old Timmy’s refusal to grow up, so he could keep his fairy godparents so in the movie, an older Timmy (Bell) is still in the fifth grade and living at home.
Now it’s all changing when he begins to have feelings for Tootie (Monet), a nerdy girl who has grown into a beautiful woman and returned to town. Now Timmy must make a choice between his godparents or growing up and being in love.
Steven Weber also stars as a larger-than-life oil tycoon, who turns his attention to capturing Timmy’s fairies and using their power to fuel his maniacal ambition. The movie is set to debut on Nickelodeon in 2011. - Just Jared Jr.

 Daniella Monet shows off her dance moves as her younger fans try to copy her at the Teaching Garden Launch in Santa Monica, Calif., on Monday morning (April 26).
The 21-year-old actress joined Jessica Stroup, Gabrielle Reece and AARP Create The Good volunteers at the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Teaching Garden event, which is a national program that brings an innovative, hands-on nutrition and fitness curriculum to young children. The event teaches students how a few small changes in diet and exercise can make life-saving differences.
Daniella told JJJ via Twitter about her day, “Honestly, I had the BEST time! The kids were all SO sweet and such great gardeners! I learned a lot from them. We danced too! It really was awesome. I couldn’t wait to tell my family after wards what a great experience it was.” - Just Jared Jr
